Family owned and operated since 1976
At Benson Cabinetry & Millwork, we never compromise on quality or functionality. This has allowed us to remain a 40-plus-year-old market leader in cabinetry excellence and home space innovation.
While Benson solely operates on a business-to-business basis at this time, our cabinetry is designed with the end-user in mind. The displays outlined on our site serve as a showcase and a tribute to what can be created by our team in the smallest of spaces (micro-units) to the largest of homes (penthouses and beyond). Constantly evolving, and hyper aware of design and environmental trends, Benson can and will enhance the heart of any home, with stylish and functional cabinetry systems that age gracefully.
Our Story
Setting the Tone for the Heart of your Home
From our family to yours, we understand that the kitchen is the heart of the home.
Benson’s Founder and namesake, Paul Benson, had the vision, grit, and business acumen to develop and grow what was formerly Benson Industries more than 40 years ago. His vision was to create a kitchen ‘heart’ that was as strong as his own heart, rooted in family and ethical values.
A pioneer in bringing European style and manufacturing automation to this pocket of North America, Paul is now succeeded by his son Tim, who shares Paul’s passion for innovation and quality. Having started work as a factory helper, Tim progressed through the ranks before becoming President in 2018. Tim is committed to keeping this family-operated business BC owned, as well as on the forefront of engineering efficiency, and the cusp of new home styling.
Responding to market needs in 2016, Paul developed ‘Cellini’, Benson’s premium brand. In 2018, Tim began work on ‘Benson Basic’, leading us to the three product lines we have created to serve you today.
Truly family-first, a Benson employee once noted, ‘When we are under this roof, all of our last names are Benson’. Here at Benson, we are as proud of our staff as we are of our products. We are committed to treating all staff and customers with the courtesy, respect and fairness we do with each other, and are excited for the next 40 years of this family and business journey.
Developers
For developers looking to partner with Benson, please review a few of our frequently asked questions. For all other inquiries, please feel free to CONNECT via the site’s CONNECT tab.
How do I contact a salesperson?
We’d love to speak to you. Drop us a line at our Victoria office, or send us an email at info@bensoncm.com, and we’ll put you in the right hands for your project.
Do you have a showroom?
We do not have a showroom. We prefer to hear what you want, and tailor a package to your needs. There is no ‘off the shelf’ with us. We are happy to show you the product line and accessory set that best suits your needs in either our Vancouver or Victoria office, where we carry an array of samples and accessories. Once we determine your needs, we’ll happily book you in for a consult.
Do you produce cabinets for single family homes?
It is atypical for us to produce cabinets for a one-home build currently, but it never hurts to ask.
Can you provide a display?
Absolutely, in fact, we recommend it. This is where we test and finesse your product, layout and aesthetic to make sure it’s exactly what you want before committing to a whole project.
Do you provide supply only cabinets?
We absolutely do. This is done on a case-by-case basis, so please contact us for more information.
What is your service location?
We do not have a geographic restriction for supply-only, however for supply and install we currently focus on serving Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.
Do you sell to dealers?
We currently don’t have any dealer distribution for our cabinets.
Do you sell countertops?
We consider countertops a separate scope of work, and we leave it to the experts in that scope.
Homeowners
For those of you that are homeowners, and/or are living with our products, we hope you love them! Read on for the most frequently asked questions.
Where do I buy replacement parts?
Because our business has been installing products for 40 plus years, we will need more information. Please fill out the form under ‘Connect’ and submit it to us, and we will do our best to find out what it is you need and how to best go about getting it.
How do I approach a warranty or repair?
If you think you have an item that falls under a warranty repair, there is a fillable form under ‘Connect’. We will review the information provided and proceed with opening a file on your request as soon as possible.
How do I buy cabinets for a different room/home?
Please fill out the ‘Service’ sheet under ‘Connect’ and we will review your cabinetry and accessory specifications. Though you won’t be buying additional cabinets from us, we can provide as much information as we can to a custom shop, or to you personally in order to get matching product. If you are developing a multi-unit residence, please visit the ‘Developers’ tab.
Do you have a showroom?
We don’t have a showroom, because we don’t have a retail component to our business. Our multi-unit projects typically have a Display Unit, where our product is proudly showcased.
Can I buy extra accessories?
Unfortunately, we are not a licensed retailer of any sort. There is a chance that we can point you in the direction of what you need, if you are looking for additional products for your home, noting that some of our suppliers are business-to business only as well. Please fill out the ‘Service Request’ form with your details if you need more information.
Can you make us some modifications/additions/deletions?
We currently only sell our products to developers, and as such once they sign off on the design and installation, the cabinetry is considered complete. We would LOVE a retail division one day, but we unfortunately aren’t set up that way yet, so any modifications requested are considered ‘aftermarket’ and we do not have the ability to make additions, deletions or modifications.
